FAQ
Here are some frequent asked questions about i-Art's Autosterscopic Display products. They are trying to help you to know more about the basic information and make the good decision to buy the right products.

Q1: What is your "Autostereoscopic Display"?
A1:
By using lenticular technology, our "Autostereoscopic Display" is based on a flat panel display like LCD monitor to exhibit the 3D images without help of any 3D glasses. Such a kind of 3D image is composed by multiple views of more than seven views (depending on different displays). In other words, with your naked eyes you can view the 3D effects in front of the display at a very large field angle within its viewing distance of around 30cm to 300cm.

Q2: What is the difference between your "Auto3D Display" and others?
A2:
The main difference is that the view count of ours is at least eight, while most of the others are only two views. As a result, ours can project the 3D images to your eyes at a very large range of field angle, while the others can't or even need an "Eye Tracker" to help display for different views. In addition, since ours is using lenticular technology instead of parallax barrier, it can deliver much brighter and more distinct 3D images than others.

Q3: Can your "Auto3D Display" be used for both "2D" and "3D" display?
A3:
Currently, it is dedicated to "3D" display purpose. If you would like to use it as a normal 2D display as well, then please consider our "Auto3D Kit" because its removable lens can be more flexible for "2D" and "3D" display by putting on and taking off the lens.

Q4: I already have had a LCD monitor (or Notebook PC). Is there any easy way to upgrade it as an "Autostereoscopic Display"?
A4:
Yes, as long as your LCD monitor (or Notebook PC) can meet the basic requirements of our "Auto3D Kit", you may purchase it to upgrade your LCD monitor as an "Autostereoscopic Display".

Q5: Before purchasing "Auto3D Kit", what should I pay attention to?
A5:
Basically, "Auto3D Kit" is prepared for those who are enthusiastic about stereo 3D images and are PC hackers as well. Before purchasing our "Auto3D Kit", please make sure the dot pitch of your LCD monitor (or Notebook PC) must be the same one as the 3D lens can support, and your LCD monitor can support "DVI" video interface for the best 3D quality. Of course, your VGA card had better have the DVI supporting as well.

Q6: Can your "Auto3D Kit" support any LCD monitor?
A6:
Currently, our "Auto3D Kit" can ONLY support the LCD monitors or Notebook PCs which have the dot pitches listed on "Auto3D Kit" page.

Q7: I don't know how to create the 3D images. What can I do for "Auto3D Kit"?
A7:
Don't worry about it. There is an "Auto3D Maker" bundled with "Auto3D Kit" to help you can instantly create your own 3D photos from your existing 2D photos. It is extremely easy to use by following "1-2-3" steps as "Auto3D Maker" requires. Later, you may present these 3D photos with its bundled software Auto3D Player for multimedia play.

Q8: Besides its bundled software "Auto3D Maker", what can "Auto3D Kit" do for me?
A8:
"Auto3D Kit" is basically positioned as an engineering study or evaluation kit. Nevertheless, also you can still use it for more 3D applications other than "Auto3D Maker". The other most important application would be the "Game". There are a variety of PC Direct3D games available for use in the world. And, the game driver ("Auto3D Driver") is an optional software for the "Auto3D Kit" package.

Q9: What is the difference between "Auto3D Kit" and "Auto3D Display"?
A9:
The main purpose of why we prepare the "Auto3D Kit" for order is trying to offer an opportunity for those who are interested in autostereoscopic display, but have a limited budget or need an evaluation kit first. Since generally the price of autostereoscopic display is quite high, if you may have an evaluation kit before purchasing a commercial product, it would be more confidence and less risk.

The key part of them is the lens itself. The lens has the same specification and is identical to each other. In other words, both of them can perform the exactly same quality. The main difference is that "Auto3D Display" is positioned as for commercial use. It is a complete set. Instead of removable lens, its lens is fixed on LCD monitor.

Q10: Currently what kinds of title can be applied to your "Auto3D Kit" and "Auto3D Display"?
A10:
Currently the major available titles which can be applied to "Auto3D Kit" and "Auto3D Display" are PC games. With "Auto3D Driver", you can play most available PC Direct3D games in the world.
